Women Self Help Groups (SHGs)  

• Jai Jui has formed Over 100 SHGs of poor women.
• We provide them with training and also help them in marketing their products. We currently train them in seven types of skill development like embroidery, jute handicrafts, candle making etc. which we think will have a market. We will soon be establishing a JAI JUI SHG shop.
• We need more corporates to tie up with JAI JUI to market these products like bags, pouces, clothes etc.
• We have recently started a papad unit for these SHGs.

We have recently tied up with a Papad company in Nasik and our women run a papad unit that gives employment to over 100 women. We are looking at more marketing tie ups.

Jai-Jui  has formed over 100 SHGs of women from various slum communities from south Solapur, north Solapur and other Solapur urban areas. SHG leaders facilitate the following activities for SHGs:

1. Training for various products given to the women in slum and rural areas

2. Making available the equipment required to manufacturing product.

3. Holding monthly meetings to discuss the progress of SHGs

4. Hdentifying and making available market for already exisiting SHGs
