Who We Are Jai Jui is almost five years old and in the past year it has been able to reach far and been engaged in numerous activities. Today we are living our dream. The idea is to bridge the urban -rural divide between townships and villages. This is the need of the hour in India and consequently between the nations. In the past year, we have been able to make a difference in a small way in the field of education, health , unemployment , sports, environment. Also driven by the powerful energy of what India's villages are capable of “Small is Beautiful is the motto” taking development to people and not vice versa is the need of the hour and this is just what we are striving for.
We aim for this change to be sustainable development, as opposed to a one time change enforced by external agencies. However most of the target groups are illiterate, poor, socially deprived, unorganized and too weak to organize themselves. They do not have the necessary skills and expertise to convert their needs into demands. It is therefore necessary to organize such initiatives through a process of awareness creation of their needs, goals and rights. We plan on bringing about this change through information sharing, dissemination of knowledge and most importantly provsiding access and opportunity and employment opportunities. With this objective, Jai Jui encourages entrepreneurship amongst the youth by providing them with various skills and livelihood options. |
